Afif Toukan is the CEO of Wizards Productions, the leading producer and distributor of social games in the region. Previously, he established and senior managed Maktoob Mobile Services the mobile arm of Maktoob Group. With eleven years of experience in the telecommunications, TV integration and gaming industries, Afif has specialized in creating and building services and content that caters for mobile, TV and internet users. Having the ability to fuse different entertainment elements together, Afif ventured into the field of social gaming by co-establishing Wizards Productions and take it to be one of the leaders of this industry in the region.
Gaith Kawar, is the CoFounder and CEO of Taktek Games: A well funded social game developer startup focused on the Arab region. Prior experiences includes, Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi, an international advertising agency as well as working at Apple Inc in Silicon Valley. Gaith fuses a highly technical mind with creative thinking. He is also a serial entrepreneur with several IT startup companies based in Jordan serving the Middle East region. Gaith serves on non profit organizations, giving back and supporting the local community, as well as mentoring young talent.
Muhannad Ebwini, 33, is co-founder and CEO Gate2play, Muhannad has over 10 years of experience in the online, gaming, and payment industries, having successfully grow the business of OneCard, a leading regional alternative payment mechanism between 2004 and Feb 2010. During his tenure at OneCard, Muhannad has spearheaded the development of the online payment and eCommerce industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), working successfully with international and regional players, provide alternative payment solutions for them, assist and provide support in localizing them and adapting them to the MENA culture, as well as providing them with a suite of value-added services such as support centers and marketing.
Prior to joining OneCard, Muhannad worked at Maktoob, the leading regional portal recently acquired by Yahoo as the Business Development Manager of Mazad Maktoob, an online auction service that later morphed into Souq.com, and remains the leading online auction service in the MENA region. Prior to Maktoob, he held sales and marketing management positions at eSolution , a local web development company in Amman, Jordan.
Muhannad is a he is a certified eCommerce Consultant “CEC” and Project Manager eBusiness (PME), and holds an MBA in Management and International Business from NYIT and a Bsc in Computer Software Engineering from Pricess Sumayya University in Amman, Jordan. He is on the Advisory Board of Dubai World Games Expo, the largest regional gaming exhibition, and on the gaming and media committee of the King Abdulla initiatives for Arabic Content in KSA.
Nour KHRAIS, Founder and General Manager of Maysalward with over than 11 years of international experience in the Online and Mobile Value Added Services. Prior to forming Maysalward, he worked in a multicultural environment. Early 1999 he Joined ACOTEL/Info2cell Content Business Development Team in Amman and Dubai then later joined Networks Valley/Yalla.com in Egypt to head the Mobile and Online Portal Development Team. 2002 KHRAIS decided to explore the Core level of Mobile Business with SWAPCOM France(now SICAP) a leader in Mobile Infrastructure VAS platforms where he was responsible for the MENA market and was directly involved with SWAPCOM in the launch of Al JAZEERA TV MOBILE SERVICES NETWORK. Nov 2003 Under a Glocalized vision KHRAIS Launched the first Mobile Game Development operation in the Middle East Region offering unique games targeting the Middle East Europe and Latin American Markets, operating from Jordan.
KHRAIS holds a Master in International Business, Global Marketing and Internationalization, Diploma in Mobile Telecommunication and Bsc of Agriculture Engineering. His passion for Games and entertainment enforced with strong business vision and management in mobile value added services guarantee the success and uniqueness of product and services production.
